As executive director, Kevin leads the largest association for school administrators in New York. He oversees all association services and operations, which include legal and labor relations services, professional development opportunities, and legislative advocacy.

Arthur Scheurmann, Esq., General Counsel

Since 2002, Art has been leading the SAANYS Legal Department and team of field attorneys and negotiators. A former assistant district attorney on Long Island, Art spent a number of years honing his labor and employment relations expertise at an Albany law firm prior to arriving at SAANYS.

Karen Bronson, Director of Professional Development, SAANYS

Karen is a frequent presenter on topics related to instructional leadership, APPR, and Common Core implementation. Her background as a teacher of English, principal, assistant to the superintendent, and professional developer gives her a perspective grounded in the most current developments and challenges of educational reform.

David Nash, Esq., LEGAL ONE NY Coordinator

David has extensive experience as a school law attorney representing school leaders on a wide array of school law issues.  He has trained thousands of school leaders and other educators on various aspects of state and federal education law and oversees all aspects of LEGAL ONE NY operations.
